Charlie Haynes

     Charlie Haynes, 79, of Gainsville, passed away, December 16, 2016. Born September 20, 1937 he was the son of the late Willie Haynes and Irene Carroll Haynes.  In addition to his parents Charlie was preceded in death by two brothers, Arnold Haynes and Robert Haynes.  Charlie was retired from the Coca-Cola Company.

     Survivors include his wife, Peggy Ann Haynes of Gainsville; a son, Ricky and his wife Sherry Haynes of Talmo; two daughters, Linda Norton of Commerce and Diane Haynes of Cleveland; two sisters, Ruby Holland of Clermont and Joyce Dispain of Dahlonega; and a brother Wayne Haynes; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

     A celebration of Charlie's life will be Monday, December 19, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Strickland Funeral home with the Rev. Charles Tanner officiating.  Burial will follow at the County Line Baptist Church cemetery. 

     Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the funeral home.
