E.L. Clark

“E.L.” Elijah Lester Clark, 88 of Gainesville, Ga. died on January 31, 2022. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Alta Vista Cemetery, Gainesville, Ga. Reverend Steve Baker will officiate the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on the day of the services from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

E.L. was a hard worker. There’s no telling how many nails he drove. He taught a lot of kids how to work. And he deserves a lot of credit for putting up with his late wife, Thelma, whose food he ate without complaint for 60+ years. 

Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his wife Thelma Clark; his parents Lester E. and Ella Green Clark and his sister Mary Clark.

Mr. Clark is survived by his daughter Dana (Mike) Ferguson; his granddaughter Stephanie (Kyle) Garrett, his grandson Drew (Nichole) Ferguson; and his great granddaughter Bella Garrett.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life for Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Clark at a later date.  In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Habitat for Humanity.  W.R. Strickland & Sons, Clermont, Ga.
