Mr. Paul Lamar Murphy Jr. died on Friday, January 24, 2025. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, January 27, 2024, in the chapel of W. R. Strickland & Sons, Clermont, GA. Reverend Milton Harris and Reverend Billy Blocker will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home before the service. Interment will follow the service at New Bridge Baptist Church Cemetery, 3120 Cleveland Hwy, Gainesville, GA.

Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife, Dora McDougald Murphy, his sons Tim Murphy (Susan) and John Murphy, his grandchildren Nicole Murphy (Al Metcalf), Lauren Murphy (Matt Fleming), Megan Aldridge (Jon), and Casey Jones, his great-grandchildren Arden Chambers, Brooks Aldridge, Ruby Fleming, and June Fleming.
