Peggy Jean Gilleland, age 77, of Maysville, Ga, died on April 26, 2018, at Northeast GA Medical Center. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 30, 2018, with the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Thompson will officiate. Mrs. Gilleland was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Shorty Gilleland and her brother, Joe Clark. She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Gilleland and Kim Borland, her sisters, Sue Glenn, Reba McGee, Eulene Hollifield, June Whelchel, and her brother, Jimmy Clark. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Rebekah Boreland and Amanda Boreland. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
